Fairy tales are stories for children. Children like stories that are fun and full of imagination. The Grimm fairy tales and Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales make children happy. Fairy tales are very old. They are classic stories. Now we need new stories. We need stories that don’t have genies, dwarfs and fairies in them. We need stories that don’t teach children lessons through frightening events.

Schools teach children lessons. Stories are told to let children have fun. I wrote ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ to make children happy. I want it to be a new type of fairy tale. I want it to make children happy and not give them nightmares.
